3. What is a Vascular Surgeon?

Vascular surgeons are highly trained to treat diseases of the vascular system. Common surgeries include spider vein treatment and varicose vein treatment. Being referred to a vascular surgeon does not automatically mean you will need surgery. Vascular surgeons can perform any kind of vascular surgery, but many patients don’t require it and can manage their condition with the appropriate medications and lifestyle modifications.

4. What Conditions do you Treat?

At CVSA we offer prompt diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of vascular conditions. These include Carotid Artery Disease, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, and Peripheral Arterial Disease. We also offer the most advanced minimally invasive treatments for Varicose and Spider Veins in our Endovascular Surgical Center. To learn more about the conditions our vascular surgeons treat, see Conditions and Treatments.

5. What Treatments Does CVSA Offer?

We provide vascular surgery, endovascular surgery, and non-surgical management for various conditions, including spider vein treatment and varicose vein treatment. Schedule an appointment with one of our board-certified vascular surgeons serving the Bridgeport, Fairfield, Milford, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull, CT communities today to find out what treatment option would be best for you.

6. How are Vascular Conditions Diagnosed?

Most vascular conditions can be diagnosed using ultrasound imaging. For your convenience, we maintain fully accredited imaging labs on-site at both of our Fairfield and Shelton locations. This means we can perform an ultrasound and review your results and treatment plan with you the very same day.
